Raised in Minden, Louisiana, Dr. Douglas T. Talley, Jr. always knew he’d pursue a career in health care. A top ten graduate of Minden High School and a magna cum laude graduate of Louisiana Tech, B.S. Animal Biology, Dr. Talley headed south to LSU Dental in New Orleans in 1994 where he finished in the top ten percent of his dental school class and earned a spot in the prestigious C. Edmund Kells Honor Society.

Upon finishing dental school, Dr. Talley entered the U.S. Navy and completed a residency in advanced education in general dentistry at Parris Island, SC, where upon completion he was awarded “Resident of the Year” status. After becoming the director of Dental Branch Clinic at the Naval Air Station in Belle Chase and a senior instructor at LSU Dental School, Dr. Talley left active duty and moved to Shreveport, becoming an associate with Dr. J. Richard Brown.

Since 2001, Dr. Douglas Talley has practiced in North Shreveport with a hard-working staff and patients who trust him to make their smiles brighter and healthier. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, Northwest LDA, and ArkLaTex Academy of Dentistry. He is married to his childhood sweetheart, Amy, and they have two boys in college - one at Louisiana State University and the other at the University of Arkansas. As a newly empty nester, Dr. Talley enjoys sunsets on Caddo Lake, a good steak, and thinking about going fishing.
